Do I need Microsoft Flight Simulator to use Kea Skies products?

Yes. All of our tours and scenery are made exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or 2024. You’ll need the simulator installed before adding any of our content.

How do I install a Kea Skies tour or scenery pack?

Once you download your product, simply move the folder(s) into your MSFS Community folder.

We include a step-by-step guide with every purchase — and we’re happy to help if you get stuck.

How do I start a scenic tour in the simulator?

Once installed, open MSFS and go to:

Activities > Custom Content > Kea Skies – [Tour Name]

Hit Fly — and you’re cleared for takeoff!

MSFS 2020 users: Use the Nav Log to follow your journey.
MSFS 2024 users: Open your EFB Flight Planner to track each scenic stop.

Is the narration included?

Absolutely — that’s what makes us different.

Each tour includes high-quality narration voiced by real Kiwi voice talent, with Māori legends, Te Reo Māori, local slang, and loads of personality.

Can I use this with other add-ons like Orbx?

Yes! Our tours and scenery are designed to play nicely with popular enhancements.

In fact, we recommend Orbx Landmarks Auckland to make your city flights even more spectacular.

Can I change the aircraft in a Kea Skies Narrated Tour?

Yes! Every Kea Skies tour comes with a beautifully selected default aircraft and livery that matches the route and pacing of the narration – but you’re welcome to use any aircraft you own in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

You can easily do this using a free community tool called Bush Mission Changer (not developed by Kea Skies).

When is the scenery coming out?

We’re currently hard at work on scenery for the Coromandel Peninsula, starting with Whitianga Aerodrome (NZWT).
